|Our hearts were saddened by the passing of our beloved, Mr. Edward K. Bell, 78, also known as “Uncle Eddie”, of 1105 E. Booker Circle, Petersburg, VA.
He was born June 19, 1934 in Orange County, New Jersey, to Edward and Mary Bell. He attended Quitman Street School, Newark, New Jersey and Irvington School of Arts, Newark, New Jersey. Edward was employed with the New Jersey School Board (Orange County) Environmental Services.
Upon moving to Virginia, three years ago, “Uncle Eddie” resided with his devoted great niece, Amanda Parham (Ted) before moving to Golden Living Center –Battlefield Park, Petersburg, VA. Edward enjoyed fishing, visiting with family and traveling.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Bell and his brothers, Alexander Graham Bell and Starling Joseph Bell.
Edward is survived by one sister, Golden L. Bell of Petersburg, VA; nephew, Calvin Bell (Carolyn); devoted cousins, Mary Anne Pearyer, Walter Pearyer, Harold Obie, Dorothy Pearyer, and Eleanor Obie; devoted great nieces, Amanda Bell Parham (Ted), and Marie Ball (John) both of Petersburg, VA; devoted great nephews, NyCoeary Rudolph of Seattle, WA; two aunts, Mattie Bell of Newark, NJ and Amanda Bell Fuller of Petersburg, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A service of love and remembrance for Mr. Edward K. Bell will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, Virginia.
Family and friends will assemble 12:30 P.M. at the funeral establishment the day of the service.
