|Mr. Calvin H. Bell, 58, of 1105 E. Booker Circle, Petersburg, Va., departed this life on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, Va.
Mr. Bell was born May 2, 1955 in Newark, NJ, to Golden Bell and Calvin Hughes. He attended Quitman Street School, Newark, NJ, New Jersey School of Arts, Orange County, NJ, and Peabody High School, Petersburg, Va. Mr. Bell was employed at Roper Lumber Company for 28 years. He studied Jehovah’s Witness.
He enjoyed fishing, driving, trucks, listening to multi-cultural music, and entertaining his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Hughes, and three uncles, Alexander Bell, Starling Bell and Edward Bell.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Carolyn Bell; three children, Nycoeary Rudolph (Talitha) of Seattle, Wa., Amanda Parham (devoted-Ted) and Marie Bell (John) both of Petersburg, Va.; four stepchildren, Deborah Bailey (Calvin) and Willie Butler (Angela) both of Macon, Ga., Myra Wilson (Tee) and Raymond Wilson (Tamara) both of Seattle, Wa.; mother, Golden Bell; godchildren, Patrice Branch, Rayshawn Ruffin and Jaquan Fisher all of Petersburg, Va.; sisters-in-law, Shirley Gilmore (Moses), Dorothy Williams (Benjamin), Linda Moss, Joyce Blowe (Ronald), Shelia Moss and Jacqueline Moss; brothers-in-law, Charles Moss (Lilly), Joseph Moss (Helen), devoted-James Williams, and Willie Moss (Leslie); devoted nephew, Antoine Moss (Collene); devoted cousins, the Downey Family; devoted friends, Larry Hawkins, Michael Styles, Sylvester Burrows, Brian Burrows, Dennis Walker, Ernest Chapman, Tom Boyd, Leroy Jones and family, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other love ones who loved him dearly.
